πΎ From Village Dreams to Vibrant Art: My Artistic Journey
Hello! Iβm Asgar Molla, a fine and digital artist born and raised in the beautiful yet remote Sundarban rural area of West Bengal, India.
My journey into the world of art began during my school days. Studying in a village was a big challenge β no art schools, no mentors, and barely any access to painting materials. Despite the odds, I never lost hope. I had one thing that kept me going β my love for art.
Thanks to the encouragement of my school teacher, who believed in me and helped however he could, I continued to study and paint with limited resources.

π¨ My Artistic Styles & Mediums
Over the years, I explored and practiced different types of painting styles. Each form became a new way to express myself:

ποΈ Oil Pastel Drawing
Oil pastels were the first colors I ever used. Their soft, creamy texture helped me explore color blending and shading on simple paper. I created village scenes, flowers, and expressive faces using broken pastel pieces β yet they became my powerful tools. The richness of oil pastels made even my smallest drawings come alive.

βοΈ Pencil Sketch
With just a pencil and a sheet of paper, I began to sketch what I saw around me β faces, animals, nature, and daily life in the village. Pencil sketching helped me understand light, shadow, and emotion. I used different techniques like hatching, blending, and shading to bring depth and realism into my sketches.

π§ Watercolor Painting
Watercolor painting is one of the most expressive and graceful forms I use in my art. Itβs a medium that requires patience and flow β much like nature itself. With just water, pigment, and paper, I paint soft village scenes, rainy days, boats on the river, and gentle flowers. Watercolors allow me to express both mood and movement through light washes and transparency. Itβs a peaceful process, and I often lose myself in the brushstrokes.
I prefer handmade textured paper that holds the color beautifully, and I love using earthy tones that reflect the natural world around me. Watercolor gives me freedom β to make mistakes, to let colors bleed, and to let emotion guide the brush. Some of my favorite watercolor pieces are inspired by early mornings in the Sundarbans, when the mist touches the trees and the light changes the color of everything.

π Sundarban Nature Painting β Bengal Tiger, Mangroves & More
As someone born and raised in the Sundarban rural area, nature is not just an inspiration β it’s a part of my life and my identity. I paint the beauty of the mangrove forests, the winding rivers, village boats, rare birds, and of course, the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger. These elements make my nature paintings vibrant and deeply personal. Each artwork is like a tribute to the land that raised me.
Through canvas, acrylic, watercolor, and digital mediums, I try to bring out the wild soul and silent beauty of the Sundarbans. Whether itβs a tiger emerging from the trees, fishermen returning home, or sunsets over the delta, I pour love and detail into each scene. My goal is to preserve the natural essence of Sundarban in visual form and share its magic with the world.

π¨ Acrylic Painting
Acrylic paints became my favorite as I grew more confident. Their vibrant colors and fast-drying nature helped me paint powerful visuals on canvas, paper, and even wood. From portraits to festival scenes, acrylics allowed me to tell detailed stories through layers and textures. I love using acrylics for both realism and experimental art.

ποΈ Wall Painting
Wall painting is where I bring art to the public. I have created large murals in local schools, community centers, and village homes β filled with messages of culture, celebration, and nature. These wall paintings bring beauty and pride to rural spaces and allow me to connect with people through art.
πΌοΈ Canvas Painting
Canvas painting is my way of preserving timeless stories. I paint cultural themes, emotional expressions, and rural life using both acrylic and mixed media. Canvas gives me the space to create bold compositions with deep meaning, blending fine details with broad strokes.

π Abstract Painting
Abstract art allows me to paint my feelings β without structure or rules. I use colors, lines, and textures to express emotions, imagination, and inner thoughts. My abstract works are often spiritual or dreamlike, connecting the viewer with moods rather than objects.

πΏ Nature Painting
Growing up surrounded by forests, rivers, and open skies in Sundarban, nature is a part of me. I paint trees, birds, boats, and the beauty of village landscapes. My nature paintings are peaceful, colorful, and inspired by real moments from my daily life.

π» Digital Painting
In recent years, Iβve started creating digital art using apps and AI tools. Digital painting lets me design portraits, illustrations, and modern concepts for online use, videos, and clients. Itβs fast, flexible, and powerful β and Iβm excited to grow more in this digital art world.
β¨ And Much Moreβ¦
My creativity doesnβt stop with one medium. I also explore:
- Mixed media artwork
- Mandala designs
- AI-enhanced art
- Social message illustrations
- YouTube thumbnails and banner designs
Each piece I create has a story, a mood, and a purpose β whether traditional or digital.
β€οΈ My Vision for the Future
Art has always been more than a hobby β it is my voice, my passion, and my dream. I want to promote my artwork globally and inspire other village students who dream of creating art despite limited access.
Iβm building my online presence and sharing my journey through blogs, videos, and digital platforms. If you love creativity, color, or stories of passion and perseverance β my art is for you.
